We're storming ahead in MALAWI ......

* The Australian government has approved our appeal for a a grant to upgrade our Msema primary school from a 4 grade to an 8 Grade school to now cater for 650 children. We've built 3 extra houses & facilities for 3 more teachers & also 2 more classrooms.

* Our Kambona Junior Secondary is also being upgraded to a full Secondary school & it has an enrolment of 302 teenagers. Additions & expansions underway there too.Toilets,housing and extensions.

*Our Nursery school for 150 children at Chilunga is now in service

*********We're now started building another primary school at Nogwe...for 400 children.Hopefully, it'll be ready around April.

* The 350 pupils at the Chilunga rural Secondary School now have a fine Science/Technology block as a result of our funding.

******Our mini-learning centre at Njoho now comprises a fine,verandahed, brick building plus modern toilets..its own brick kitchen building and...wonderfully.. its own water bore.This centre is caring for some 100 younger children.

* In the urban slum area of Ndirande, we've had 3 pipelines (each up to 4k) dug to bring water down a mountainside & provided three 70,000 litre storage tanks to fix an acute water crisis for up to 4,000 people.

* Our 5 "mini-orphanages" are caring for over 300 children

Incredibly...the knitting initiative which began last year to supply home-made knitted jumpers to AIDS infants in Africa has spread far and wide. Over 500,000 have now been shipped to needy infants all over the world!
