The Msema village now has the capacity to shelter more
than 80 orphans in two mini-orphanages.....San Michel....and
Malawi House.....both of them private dwellings that we've
bought, renovated, furnished, and equipped. New and additional
facilities have also been built.
At San Michel, the girls have their own house. It was built
alongside the original house.
The youngsters have not only been clothed and sheltered,
but they're now living in good accommodation which also
offers them their own blankets and mosquito nets, recreational
games and other resources..including a stand-alone kitchen,
and some gleaming new cooking pots!.
In September 2006, The Australian AIDS Fund Inc was able
to buy two pieces of land ....one on one side of San Michel
and the other plot alongside Malawi House. This will allow
the residential accommodation to be extended later on if
necessary...but in the meantime the children will be cultivating
them as their vegetable gardens.
