Mmegi/The Reporter, established in 1984, is the only daily independent newspaper in Botswana. It's read by a wide cross-section of the community and has won the prestigious Institute of Bankers "Newspaper of the year Award" for 9 years out of the past 10. A stablemate is the Mmegi Monitor.
